Every provider reviewed on GoogieHost runs on a plan we purchased at the public price, same test site, same tools, same thresholds, fixed before testing begins. The dashboards, raw exports and scoring maths are all on this page, so you never have to take our word for a number.

Commitments behind every review
These aren’t values statements, each one changes what gets published, and each one can be checked from this page. If we break one, that’s a correction we owe you, logged in the changelog.
We buy every account
No free “press accounts” from hosts ever. When a host knows a reviewer is coming, they quietly put that account on better hardware and jump the support queue. That would make every number here worthless. So we pay full price like a normal customer, and we keep the receipt.
Monitoring, not snapshots
A speed test on one quiet Tuesday only tells you about that Tuesday. Our monitoring starts the day an account is set up and never stops. The uptime number you see in a review keeps updating for as long as the account exists. it’s live, not a photo from launch day.
Thresholds set before testing
Every pass/fail line on this page was set before we tested anyone. The same 400ms speed limit applies whether a host pays us commission or not, and the person doing the scoring never sees who pays us what.
We publish the bad results
When a host drops below one of our lines, the system flags it automatically, before any human can soften it. Simple truth: a review site that only prints good news is just an ad site wearing a costume.
We test again, on a schedule
Hosting companies change, new owners, new servers, new quality, sometimes within months. Big hosts get retested every 6 months, smaller ones every year, and anyone gets retested immediately if we hear something credible. The “last tested” date sits right on every review, not hidden away.
Our conflicts are on this page
Full honesty: GoogieHost is owned by Qloudin Technologies, which also owns other hosting brands. Yes, that’s a real conflict of interest, and we’d rather tell you upfront than have you find out later. The full details are in the independence section below, not buried in a tiny footer link.
Order of operations
From signup to published score
Every host goes through the same 11 steps, in the same order. Three of them are hard gates, the review simply cannot move forward until they pass, no matter how badly someone wants to hit a publishing date.
How long it takes: 31–45 days from buying the account to publishing the review. Why so long? Because 30 days of monitoring is the minimum and no amount of fast typing can shortcut that.

Market research
Before spending a penny, we check that the plan is one real people actually buy not a decoy plan that only exists to make another one look cheap. We also save the advertised specs word-for-word, because in step 3 we’ll check every line of them.

Account signup
We buy at the public price, with our own card. Everything annoying about signup counts as data: add-ons sneakily pre-ticked in the cart, “free” plans that demand a card, phone verification, long approval waits. We note it all down while it’s happening, not from memory later.

Service verification
Every promise on the pricing page gets *used*, not just read. Free SSL? We turn it on and wait to see if it actually renews. Backups? We restore one, not just create one. Staging? We push it live and check nothing got lost. Anything that doesn’t work in real life gets marked “unverified” in the review.

Security checks
SSL setup quality, PHP version (old PHP = open door), admin protection, malware scanning, and one thing nobody else tests: what actually happens when an account gets suspended. That’s where cheap hosts show their real face.

The review is written by the actual person who ran the tests, not handed to a writer who never touched the account. AI tools help with structure and grammar, like a spell-checker. Every measurement, score and conclusion? Done and checked by a human.

A second person re-checks every price, every renewal figure, every feature claim against a live shopping cart that same day. Pricing pages change weekly, a review with stale prices is broken on arrival.

Monitoring never stops after publishing. At every retest, the score gets recalculated from fresh data. Host improved? Score goes up. Host got worse? Score comes down. Either way, the change is logged in the review with a date.

A note on family: GoogieHost and YouStable are both Qloudin Technologies brands. We put them on this wall anyway, because hiding them would be worse. They’re monitored on exactly the same setup, clearly labelled as self-tests, and they’re banned from every ranking, comparison and “best of” list on this site. More in the independence section.
Check our homework
Pretty charts can hide a lot, so every review links to the raw files behind it: the full monitoring log with every check and every outage, load-test results at each traffic level, and timestamped support chats (account IDs blacked out). Our house rule is simple, if a number in a review can’t be traced back to a row in those files, that number doesn’t belong in the review.
Different products, different tests
What we measure, by hosting type
A free plan and a dedicated server fail in totally different ways, one gets quietly slowed down, the other might arrive with a worn-out hard drive. Testing them with one checklist would be pretending. So each type gets its own checklist, its own buying rules, and its own pass marks.
How we sign up: the actual free plan, with a fresh email and no referral link, because referred signups sometimes get different limits than normal ones. Then we keep the account running for at least 90 days. Free hosting shows its true colours *after* the honeymoon, not during it.

Here’s how we see it: a free plan that quietly deletes your site after 30 days of inactivity is worse than one that says so openly. Hidden limits get flagged loudly in the review no matter how well the plan scores everywhere else.

How the score is built
Every score out of 10 is simple maths: seven categories, each with a fixed weight, calculated the same way for every host. Being amazing at one thing can’t hide a serious failure at another and the weights never change depending on who we’re scoring.
Automatic score caps. If measured uptime falls below 99.5%, the total score is capped at 6.0 full stop, no matter how good everything else is. Hidden limits or billing surprises cap it at 7.0. Why? Because a host should never be able to buy its way past letting your website go down.

Every review prints this exact table with its own numbers filled in. Grab a calculator, run the maths yourself if it doesn’t add up to the score we gave, that’s a correction we owe you.

How affiliate money works here
Commissions pay for the test accounts, the monitoring subscriptions and the people who run them. They do not buy placement. Here’s what that means in practice, and how to check it.

Money never buys a score
The person who scores a host literally cannot see what that host pays us commission rates sit with a different person entirely. Want proof? Partners we currently score below 7/10 are listed on every category page. That list is never empty.

Non-partners get the exact same testing
Hosts that pay us nothing run on the same setup, same rules, same schedule. And yes they can beat our paying partners in rankings. Several are doing it right now.

Bad news about partners gets published
Flags fire automatically when a threshold is missed before any human even sees the result. Quietly removing one afterwards would leave a visible trail in the changelog.

Every account is bought at public price
No free review accounts, ever. Hosts give those better hardware and faster support which would poison the data. We keep the purchase invoice for every account on the wall.

Mistakes fixed within 48 hours
FSpotted something wrong? Tell us. We fix it within two working days, log the fix in the review’s changelog, and credit you by name even when the fix pushes a competitor above one of our own partners.

AI disclosure
AI tools help us with structure and grammar like a smart spell-checker. But every test is run by a real person on a real paid account, every score comes from that data, and no review on this site is AI-generated.
Where we draw the line
What we won’t review
A testing method is defined as much by what it says no to. These four get turned down flat, no matter what they offer to pay.
Plans we can’t actually buy
If a normal customer can’t buy the plan at the advertised price, there’s nothing real to test. Invite-only plans and “contact us for pricing” deals are out.
No English control panel or support
If we can’t talk to support, we can’t fairly judge support. Rather than give a low score and pretend that’s data, we simply don’t score it.
Proven billing fraud
If there’s solid, documented proof of a host charging for services never delivered, or blocking people from cancelling, we publish a warning instead of a review.
Anyone offering to pay for a score
The offer alone disqualifies them, and we tell them so in writing. Sponsored spots do exist on this site, clearly labelled as ads, but they never appear inside a review or a ranking.

Free review accounts get better hardware and faster support. The moment we accept one, our numbers stop meaning anything.
Thirty days minimum before publishing
First impressions form in a day. Reliability only shows itself over a month. This applies to our own brands too.
Same test site everywhere
Same WordPress build, almost same content, same PHP, otherwise the comparison is just theatre.
Measure it, don’t quote it
A host’s advertised “99.99% uptime” is a promise, not a measurement. We never use promises as data.
The scorer never sees the money
Commission info lives with one person, the scoring sheet with another. It’s built into the process, not a pinky promise.
Bad results publish, partner or not
Flags fire automatically on thresholds. No human approves a flag, the numbers do.
Sister brands are disclosed and never ranked
Qloudin-owned brands appear only as clearly-marked self-tests, banned from every list, ranking and comparison.
Every claim links to evidence
If we can’t show you the raw file, we don’t print the number. No exceptions, even when the gap is awkward.
Corrections within 48 hours
Logged with the date and the change. You get the credit, unless you’d rather stay anonymous.
Retest or say so
Data older than 12 months either gets refreshed, or the review says so right at the top, where you’ll see it.
