When transferring accounts between servers, transfer of email accounts can be a bit difficult. Read the steps below to know the method to transfer email account for oth cPanel and non-cPanel accounts.

Email Migration:-

Email migration can be performed in two ways.We will look at how to perform the migration in cPanel to navigate this process. Follow the following steps below:

Step 1: Backing up email directories

Firstly, backup email directories are present in the old server for email migration.

Login to cPanel interfaces for the account in question in the old server.
Open ‘File Manager’ under the section ‘Files’.
Go ‘Up One Level’ above public_html.
You can see the mail directory there.
Enter into the directory.
Right-click on the directory and click on the option available to compress the directory.
Now, download the compressed file to your computer.

Step 2: Restore email backups

Login to the cPanel interface of the new server.
Create the email accounts as you did in the old server from the ‘Email Accounts’ section under the ‘Mail’ category.
Open ‘File Manager’ under the section ‘Files’.
Go ‘Up One Level’ above public_html and see the mail directory there. Enter into the directory.
Upload the email backup file to the directory.
Unzip the backup file and then delete the zip file.
Open Webmail and configure it to display the new email folders.
