    TTFB is the time between a browser sending a request and receiving the first byte of a server response. It is the purest measure of raw server performance, unaffected by page weight, theme choices, or JavaScript.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A slow TTFB cannot be fixed by optimisation. It is a server infrastructure problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        TTFB scores are averaged across a minimum of 30 days of continuous monitoring from all active global locations. A host that scores 150ms on one test and 900ms on another gets the honest average, not the flattering result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
